DAS [NEUE] WIR
The two-day festival, conceived by Nuray Demir and Michael Annoff, brings together artists, activists and theorists at the Bundeskunsthalle to renegotiate the promise that art and culture are for everyone. We developed various media such as animations, flyers, posters and advertisements for the festival.
Almost 50 years ago, forty men and one woman met at the Steigenberger Hotel in Bonn to initiate the planning of an art gallery for the Federal Republic of Germany. At the same time, a promise was made in (West) Germany with the New Cultural Policy: Art and culture for all! The two-day festival brings together artists, activists and theorists at the Bundeskunsthalle to renegotiate this promise.
The design can be associated with the architecture of the Bundeskunsthalle, but places it in the new context of the performative festival.
In addition to designing the festival, we also worked with Nuray Demir and Michael Annoff on the temporary design of the steels in front of the Bundeskunsthalle.
